  1.   报告人: Zheng Xunhua 

    报告题目:Development of an approach for exploring the best management strategy (BMS) of carbon and nitrogen at catchment/regional scales 

    报告人简介: Her research interests focus on field, laboratory and modeling studies on emissions of C- and N-gases from terrestrial ecosystems. She achieved some new findings on the exchanging processes of gases. For instance, she reported the trade-off relationship between methane and nitrous oxide emissions from paddy rice fields in 1997, the nitric oxide emission from non-waterlogged croplands and its dependences upon soil temperature in 2003, the updated gas chromatographic method for nitrous oxide analysis in 2008 and the exchanges of methane, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide over the semiarid temperate grasslands recently. Besides, she designed a regional nitrogen cycling model to investigate the redistribution of anthropogenic reactive nitrogen. She, as a leading author or a co-author, has published more than 140 peer-reviewed research articles, of which 120 are in peer-reviewed English journals (H-index in Web of Science: 30).  

    

  2.   报告人Feike Dijkstra 

    报告题目:Plant and microbial responses to fire and drought in Australia 

    报告人简介:He is a biogeochemist with interest in plant-microbial interactions affecting carbon and nutrient cycling, particularly in relation to global climate change. His research group is focused on rhizosphere priming, the phenomenon whereby plant root activity can accelerate (or decelerate) microbial activity and soil organic matter decomposition. He currently working on the following projects: (1) Drought effects on soil carbon storage and nutrient cycling are examined in tree, grassland and wheat cropping systems using innovative carbon and nitrogen isotope labelling techniques; (2) The effects of wheat genotypes (G), environment (E, temperature and water stress), and management (M, crop rotation, fertilizer, and tillage) on soil health and key processes of carbon and nitrogen turnover.
